Issue 198, 14th November - 20th November 2011

FROM OUR HEARTS November 2011

Have you being feeling stretched lately?  There are some stretching which can be painful and there are other stretching that grows us stronger.

In recent months, Lai Ling and I have been stretched and it is growing us.  God has been stretching us to believe what He can do in and through our lives.  And I believe it always helps when we are willing to embrace the purposes of God in our lives.  When we embrace God’s purposes, He begins to prepare us and the stretching He brings along does not surprise us so much as it would be partly anticipated.  May I encourage you to allow God to stretch you and you will be surprised with how much you will eventually grow in God.

This month will be a busy month for myself even as Lai Ling and I have just returned from Busselton where the HOLA (Hope Oceania Leaders Advance) was held.  It was wonderful to catch up with Nigel and Sandy and to see their children flourishing in God.  It was a great time of fellowship and training with leaders across Australia.  Our gathering coincided with a renewal conference at Busselton with Ken Fish, an itinerant minister.  We were blessed by his ministry when he spent a lunch with us and encouraged us with prophetic words.  The Spirit of God is stirring in different parts of Australia and we must continue to pray for our country that renewal will grow stronger in Australian churches and breakthrough into the hearts of Australian throughout this country will occur.

This week itself I will fly off to London to speak at our European Leaders Conference together with Ps. Simon.  And later this month, I will go to Kuching and speak at our Malaysian National Conference.  We will spend time with Ps. Rick Seward who is the special guest speaker at the MNC.

We will be having our own church conference this month on the topic of Vibrant: Nurturing Healthy Churches.  This topic is intended to give us insight into key areas that lead to healthy churches.  I am sure we desire our life groups, our congregations and the church as a whole to be healthy.  This topic will help you understand some of the key ingredients and to contribute towards a healthy church.  For the health of the church does not just rest upon church leaders, it rests upon every member.  Our guest speaker is Ps. Richard Green of C3 North Ryde again and I am sure he will entertain and inspire us towards a vibrant church.  Do set aside that weekend to attend.

We are also coming to our exciting Christmas4Kids community event and I understand already some 250 volunteers have signed up.  Please pray for a wonderful turnout and that many children and their families will be blessed.  I take this opportunity to thank all those who have been putting in many hours to make this a success.

Stretching for Jesus,
Wilson Lim
